For the first time in years I guided a birding tour. In the Amsterdamse Waterleidingduinen I walked with the family of two of my dear friends through forest areas, along the many waters and through the infiltration area where we observed about 45 species of birds. I didn’t take many pictures, but the lesser spotted woodpecker showed itself so well that I really wanted to make an exception for it. We also saw the kingfisher and the collared redstart, heard the nightingale and the bluethroat also showed itself nicely.
