During the walk of more than 11 kilometers in the AWD (yesterday’s post) we already saw the bluethroat, but I wasn’t able to take a good photo. Closer to home, in the Hilversumse Meent there are many reed beds, low trees and shrubs – the habitat for the bluethroat, so to try my luck, I set off again. On the way back from the short walk to the bird wall, I saw this beautiful bluethroat male, singing loudly on a branch.
