Our patience has been tested quite a bit, but it’s really here now: spring. However, I understood that the moment of flowering in this year actually fits more into the normal rhythm than in recent years. In short: we are probably already starting to get used to the changing climate.
The trees are now really in full leaf again, the first butterflies are also seen again, we also see different types of bees and hoverflies in our gardens and almost all birds are singing. Most winter guests have returned to their breeding grounds and most summer guests have also returned to the Netherlands.
I set out in search of the Eurasian golden oriole. Unfortunately not an oriole but a Eurasian hobby. I hadn’t seen it until it flew away and perched itself in a tree much further away.
